Are you interested in getting involved with the SWCC Blog? 

Thank you for your interest in writing for the SWCC Blog. We're always looking for new writers and contributors. Our Blog team is made up entirely of volunteers who produce content on a variety of topics, including:

  • Science Explained – Break down the science behind current events.
  • SWCC News – Updates and announcements related to the SWCC community (e.g. conferences, events).
  • SciComm News – Insightful takes on news related to science communication.
  • Commentary / Op-Ed – Share your expert perspective on timely topics.
  • Member Announcements – Celebrate major member milestones, such as retirements or awards.
  • Creative Content – Now expanded to include visual and multimedia submissions like poetry, SciArt, and more.

If your pitch is declined (due to overlap or fit) don’t be discouraged; it’s a normal part of the process. You're welcome to refine your idea or try a new angle.
