The SWCC Book Awards are selected each year by a jury panel of 10 volunteer judges (5 judges per panel, 2 categories). All SWCC members in good standing are eligible to volunteer as judges. Previous judges have included journalists, scientists, parents, teachers, educators, and more! Judges may serve for a term limit of 3 years.

Judge responsibilities include:

• Reviewing all eligible entries (typically ~30 titles). Books will be shipped to your home or work address at no charge and are yours to keep. 
• Completing scorecards and conflict of interest forms.
• Meeting with your fellow judges (3) times for a kickoff, to discuss the shortlist, and to select the winning titles.
