The Science Writers and Communicators of Canada annual conference takes place in Ottawa from September 13 to 16, 2017.  The theme of this year’s conference is The People behind the Story. The SWCC 2017 conference will explore the important and changing roles of journalists, communicators, scientists, artists, and knowledge mobilizers and translators, and how we can work effectively together to promote scientific literacy and demonstrate the value of science. The Science Writers and Communicators of Canada - formerly the Canadian Science Writers Association - has a renewed mandate to embrace all professionals with a passion for communicating science.
