Dr. Hilding Neilson
Dr. Hilding Neilson is an interdisciplinary scientist currently working with the David A. Dunlap Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Toronto. His work centres on astrophysics and on the intersection of science, astronomy, and Indigenous knowledges. Neilson, a Mi’kmaw person, describes his work as “Striving to embrace and integrate Indigenous knowledges and methodologies to better understand the physics of stars and the Universe, and our place in it.”
