NEW CSWA benefit: Group health, drug and dental insurance 

The CSWA now offers members drug, health, and dental insurance at lower-than-retail-rates with Writers’ Coalition, via ACTRA Fraternal Benefits Society (AFBS.)

Premiums have been formulated with no profit margin built in, as AFBS is a not-for-profit insurer.

Features at a glance:

* Any CSWA members in good-standing are eligible

* There is no medical required to join.

* You can pay the premiums monthly or annually. 

* The premium is less than you can get elsewhere forcomparable coverage.

* Coverage increases in years 2 and 3.

* You may insure your eligible dependants for coverage (your spouse and eligible dependant children under age18 or under 26 if still in school).

* Your coverage becomes effective the first day of themonth after AFBS approves your completed Enrolment Form and premium payment.

* Your Benefit Year runs for 12 months from the effectivedate of your coverage.

* You will receive a Claim Card with a unique AFBS member account number. (Using this card, many prescriptions and dental claims can be processedimmediately from the pharmacy or dental office.)
