A few weeks ago, CSWA members participated in a panel discussion at the 2012 AAAS Annual Meeting on the muzzling of government scientists, including what journalists perceive as the muzzling of government-funded scientists in Canada (full video of the panel here.)
Since that panel (pictured below, right), national mainstream media across Canada (CTV, CBC, Canadian Press, numerous newspapers, etc..) and around the world (Nature, the BBC, etc..) have sounded the alarm.
